Outdoor Kitchen Maintenance Advice
Keeping your outdoor kitchen in peak condition doesn't have to be complicated. With a few consistent habits and the right approach, your investment will continue to look stunning and function flawlessly for years to come.
Placement Matters
Your outdoor kitchen and furniture should never sit in constant contact with grass, soil, or damp ground. Proper elevation and drainage protect the structure from moisture damage over time.
Regular Cleaning
A light clean with a stiff brush, warm water, and a pH-neutral detergent goes a long way. Regular upkeep prevents buildup and protects finishes from premature wear or staining.
Periodic Refinishing
At 2–5 years, depending on its location and level of use, your outdoor kitchen cabinetry or furniture benefits from a light sanding and an application of penetrating oil to restore its natural vitality.
No Pressure Washing
Avoid using a pressure washer on any outdoor furniture or cabinetry surfaces. High-pressure water forces moisture into joints and finishes, causing swelling, cracking, and long-term structural damage.
How to Winterise Your Outdoor Kitchen
All quality outdoor kitchens and equipment are built to withstand the elements year-round. However, a little seasonal preparation goes a long way in keeping everything in peak working condition and maximising the lifespan of your investment.
As the colder months approach, here are the key steps to take before winter sets in.
Stainless Steel Sinks
Clean stainless steel sinks thoroughly using a stainless-specific cleaner. Always cover the sink to keep debris out, ensure the plug and drainage holes are clear, and position the collector basket so any water drains away from the paving.
Taps & Pipework
To protect taps and pipework from frost damage, water must be fully drained. Shut off the supply valves, open both hot and cold taps until they run dry. Remove the tap aerator — it unscrews by hand — to allow full drainage. If a water heater is fitted, drain that too.
Cupboards & Cabinetry
Outdoor kitchen units fitted with weather-resistant composite panels should be wiped down with an antibacterial, non-abrasive cleaner to prevent any onset of mildew or mould forming during damp winter months.
Appliances
Follow manufacturer guidelines for winterising all appliances. Clean all surfaces with an antibacterial cloth, empty and clean the drip tray on the grill, and shut the appliance off completely. If the manufacturer advises against winter use, store appliances indoors during these months.

Warranties
Our outdoor kitchen cabinets come with a comprehensive 10-year warranty as standard. For any appliances or add-on accessories, the relevant manufacturer's warranty applies, ensuring you are fully covered on every part of your outdoor kitchen setup.
